2016 Wildlife Adventure in Colorado

 

Elk By the Roadside

     This year's wildlife adventure took me to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado where I saw wildlife from a bunnies to an elk while travels the roads of Colorado. The wildlife in Colorado was amazing as everywhere I went I saw all types of wildlife.

Deer By the Roadside

 Here are some deer in the open range that I saw during my journey, just hanging out at the roadside watching the cars go by.

Chipmunk

I saw a friendly chipmunk while at the visitor center in Estes, Colorado.


 

Crane

 This crane was just hanging out at a park by Loveland's visitors center where there were lots of bronze statues. At first, I was taking a picture of Loveland's bronze artwork, since there are over 300 statues scattered all over the town of Loveland. Then I saw this crane from a distance hoping by the time I got around the pond the crane would still be there. Sure enough the crane was hanging out trying to cool down the the excessive heat.

These three photos were taking at Terry's Bison Ranch on the border of Wyoming and Colorado, where they have 27,500 acres for their animals. Here is an ostrich, putting on some type of dance and for the first time I saw baby camel and baby bison. I enjoyed visiting the bison ranch during my trip to Colorado.
