Butterflies

Lacewing Butterfly |
One of the beauties of nature is the butterfly. Also one of the hardest shots to take while they are in flight and if they do land you must be quick about it. Last year on Mother's Day, I got the chance to be a kid for a day and
visit the "Butterfly Wonderland".

Butterflies Eating Fruit From A Bowl |
I spent the day learning all about
butterflies and a chance to take pictures of them in their conservatory.
I could spend hours in this conservatory.
Looks like the butterfly have a taste for sweetness too. Here they are at the right eating from a fruit bowl.

Spotted Tiger Glassywing |
Beautiful flowers and butterflies, what more can a person ask for on Mothers Day. This is another place I recommend visiting if you want to take butterfly pictures or just hang out on a bench and enjoy the beauty. It is also a great way to practice you macro or closeup shots.
Waterfalls

Tucson Waterfall |
Nature photography connects you to the land that surrounds you, such as flowers, trees in the forest, rock formations, beaches, and waterfalls. Even though I live in the desert I do get the opportunity to take photographs of waterfalls that are not from fountains. Here are some pictures of a waterfalls that were taken at a resort in Tucson, Arizona and at Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona, Arizona. I still need some work on this technique as I am trying to capture a soft smooth blur effect in the water itself. As you can see with the Oak Creek Canyon natural waterfall I was able to capture the soft smooth blur effect in the water compare to the Tucson waterfall was a little more stop motion on the water.
