 I love it when flowers bloom as they are very colorful and it is cool watching the stages of a flower blooming. When I travel, I take pictures of the various flowers blooming.  Here in the desert we have cacti and roses that bloom in February. It is like having an early spring.
 

Sunflower Beginning to Bloom

Here are pictures of a sunflower blooming in my garden. Since it is very hot and sunny in the desert the sunflowers grow very well as they love the sunny warm weather.

Below are pictures I took in March when I traveled to California and saw this palm tree that had succulent plants growing out of the tree and what looks like a Bird of Paradise growing in a palm tree.

 

Having a flower garden in my backyard give me the opportunity to work on my macro photography as I can capture the flowers while they are in their various stages. It is also nice having various roses and cactus blooming year round. Traveling give me the opportunity of capturing various plants and flowers under various light conditions to  capture the beautiful color each flower blooms.
